French toast or Egg and bread bites is very quick to prepare. Mornings are always everyone’s challenging time of the day, particularly if you have little children or you work 9-5.
The other day I had stayed up a bit to watch a Nigerian home movie and found myself scrambling up at 6.15am! Whoops, meeting at 7.30? It was a rush, but I was not ready to miss my breakfast even if I had it in the car this time around. For mums this is a nutritious meal the kids will not refuse. Bread coated with goodness of egg and milk, what a way to get kids to take milk! I even find it very convenient to take French toast to work as a quick breakfast.
I decided to cut the bread into handy bite sizes which is interesting for kids as well as adults.
When you pair these Egg and bread bites with some tomatoes, baked beans, hot beverage, you are good to go! Did I just say this is just for breakfast? You can actually have this for a light meal when you don’t want to go for the ‘swallow’ Enjoy !

Hi! This is my first time commenting. Stumbled upon your blog recently and I’ve learnt a lot from it though I must admit that some of your recipes are not for the unambitious! lol! I’ve always made french toast at our home but I never thought to cut it up into bite size pieces. Guess what? My kids loved it and they are very picky eaters by the way! So thank you for a non teary breakfast today.
Do you organise cooking classes? If yes, I’d like to know about it or any alternatives that you may have. Cheers and have a great sunday!
Hi, Ownyee. It’s comments like yours that keeps the blog going. So glad the kids liked the French toast.I do not organize cooking classes at the moment.Something I am thinking about for the future. Thanks.
Hi IQ, I have been making french toast as a school snack for my kids for years, but without the milk, honey and nutmeg. Will definitely try this one out.
